Stellenbosch FC are being linked with a move for Ghanaian goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi. The player, who is with Accra-based Hearts of Oak, is said to be a target for the South African side.
No deal has been struck between the teams and the transfer is still just a rumour. Agbasi would be moving from Ghana's top division to South Africa's Betway Premiership.
Solomon Agbasi acknowledged the speculation. "Has been linked with a move to South African club Stellenbosch FC," the goalkeeper said.
The club is assessing its options. Stellenbosch FC said they are looking at a player currently registered with one of Ghana’s best-known clubs. Their recent form shows one win, three draws and one defeat from the last five games.
Agbasi remains a Hearts of Oak player and there is no indication of advanced negotiations.
