Stellenbosch FC preview their Betway Premiership clash with Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium with a reshuffled lineup. Coach Gavin Hunt has made four changes to the side that drew 1-1 with the same opponents last week.

Hunt brings in Thabiso Lebitso, Njabulo Blom, Quan Plaatjies and Ashley Du Preez. They replace Darrel Matsheke, Keanan Johannesen, Raoul Daniels and Bradley Grobler, who all move to the bench. The team, which currently sits seventh in the Premier Soccer League with 10 points from eight games, is looking to build on an unbeaten run of four matches. Their recent form shows a win and two draws from their last three league outings, and they will next face Cape Town City after this match.

The confirmed Stellenbosch FC lineup is Stephens in goal, with a defence of Nkwali, Msimango, Vena and Lebitso. Mashego and Blom anchor the midfield, supporting an attacking trio of Du Preez, Matlou and Kwayiba, with Plaatjies leading the line. The top scorer this season with three goals in six appearances, Plaatjies will be a key threat. The substitutes are Garrow, Sibande, Taunyana, Andrieas, Johannesen, Lateef, Daniels, Butsaka and Grobler. Fans can explore the full squad details for more information on the players.

This is a quick rematch after the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the same venue just days ago. Sinoxolo Kwayiba opened the scoring for Stellenbosch in the 48th minute before Mduduzi Shabalala equalised for Chiefs. Hunt sees a clear opportunity in the fixture. "They can move as high as fifth with a win this evening," the coach said, referencing the potential shift in the standings.

Kaizer Chiefs, who are fourth, have their own injury concerns. They will be without Lebohang Maboe, Langelihle Phili, Siphesihle Ndlovu and the recovering Brandon Petersen. Coach Fernando Da Cruz is expected to hand a first league start to Tanzanian midfielder Adolf Mtasingwa. The latest team news, including injuries, will be key for both sides.

Stellenbosch have played seven of their first nine fixtures away from home this season, making this another challenging trip. The team's performance data, including defensive records and possession stats, can be found in the comprehensive stats section.
